So I know I’ve only just posted, but this was something that I’d completed about a week ago, and thought that I should blog about it now while I can still remember what actually happened.
For two weeks in August, I went to Walt Disney World in Florida – and yes, the weather was scorching. It came as quite a shock to me as I had last been there when I was six, and for the past ten years have only dealt with the cold weather that we are so used to here in Britain. It was shorts and skirts every day, something which didn’t sit well with me, a girl whose whole wardrobe pretty much consists of skinny jeans and band t-shirts. Also, when you weren’t being burnt to a cinder by the sun, you were getting drenched by the rain; I wore some shoes that I had customised with Sharpies, and by the end of the first day, it was already beginning to wash away, a definite disappointment.
Anyway, the basic rundown of the two weeks there were:
Day 1: Magic Kingdom
Day 1: Magic Kingdom
Day 2: Epcot
Day 3: Animal Kingdom
Day 4: DisneyQuest/Downtown Disney
Day 5: Hollywood Studios
Day 6-7: Repeat of Disney Parks
Day 8: Shopping & attempt to see parade and fireworks at Magic Kingdom, which were then cancelled due to rain ¬_¬
Day 9: Gatorland
Day 10: SeaWorld
Day 11: Do nothing all day, then see parade and fireworks at Magic Kingdom (not cancelled this time yay!)
Day 12: Finish off Disney Parks
Day 13: Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios (last day, so we were trying to get as much use out of the tickets as possible)
Day 14: HOME TIME!
While it was fun, I am definitely glad to be back home again :)
P.S. Might I just add, you only know you’re at Disney once you see Cinderella’s Castle.
P.P.S. Also, I took some cool pictures of ducks and parrots; here's two of them.
